Course Unit Description

This course is designed to equip students with knowledge on production, processing and marketing of products which are safe, wholesome and free of physical, chemical and microbiological contamination.

Course Objectives

  • To introduce the student to problems of foodborne infections and intoxications
  • To equip student with knowledge and skill in standard laboratory techniques for microbial isolation.
  • To train students on the principles of Animal product quality assurance
  • To train students in good production and manufacturing processes
