The course unit is designed to introduce the students to the Internet and its use in Electronic Commerce.

Course Objectives
This course unit is meant:

  • To give students a working knowledge of the Internet,
  • To give students knowledge of use of electronic commerce
  • To define E-commerce and describe its various categories
  • To describe and discuss the content and framework of E-commerce
  • Describe the major types of E-commerce transactions
  • Describe some E-commerce models
  • Discuss the benefits of E-commerce to organizations, consumer, and society
  • Describe the limitations of E-commerce

Expected Learning Outcome
On successful completion of this course unit, the students should be able to:
