BPA1204 Macro-economics
Course Unit Description
Macroeconomics provides an introduction to modern macroeconomic analysis, which focuses on the national economy and its international economic relations. This course includes areas such as growth and employment, wage and price dynamics, and consumption and saving behavior. In this course, students will be exposed to two main modern schools of macroeconomic thought, that is, the New Classical, the other the Keynesian.
Course Objectives
This course is intended to enable the students
- To appreciate the Macro- economic system of Uganda
- Understand the theoretical questions concerning basic structures of the economy and their interrelationship in the business environment
- To understand the Empirical estimations of the shape of the economy.
Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course, students should be able to:
- Be able to use macroeconomic techniques and apply to both theoretical and real-world situations
- Identify appropriate techniques to analyze macroeconomic equilibrium in the various markets
