Course Unit Description

The course will introduce students to the basic Computer Software Applications and how they are applied in various business situations in order to facilitate the Information Management function. It will enable students to understand and appreciate computer applications through hands-on and to produce documents and models applicable to business environment.

 

Objectives of the Course

  • To Identify the different Applications within an Office environment 
  • To introduce students to basic computer software applications and how they are applied in various business situations in order to facilitate the Information management function
  • To enable the students  appreciate computer applications in business through hands on
  • To enable students produce business documents and models applicable to business environment

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course students will be able to;

  • Demonstrate the ability to use the common software applications (Word processors; Spreadsheets; DBMS; graphic & presentation software)
