Course Unit Description

The course covers Geomorphologic processes responsible for evolution of landforms, principles and concepts. Definition and historic development of Geomorphology, approaches to modern Geomorphology. Geologic basis to Geomorphology; theories of Geomorphologic studies theories of slope development. 

Course Objectives 

  • To explain geomorphologic processes at work in the observable physical environment
  • To explain major principles and concepts of geomorphology 
  • To discuss the relevance of landforms to development
