CGA2205 Animal Health

This course introduces the student to the common diseases of livestock, their investigation treatment and control.

Course Objective

• To enable a student, acquire knowledge about common diseases of livestock and skills in disease investigation, treatment and control.

At the end of this course, the student should be able to:

• Identify common livestock diseases
• Identify the factors that predispose animals to diseases
• Be conversant with signs of good health, clinical signs of diseases; know general aspects of disease investigation
• Manage common diseases and advise on control measures.
