MED5201: Advanced Pediatrics and Child Health

This is a senior clerkship course in pediatrics. Students will spend most of the time on the ward managing patients under supervision. Emphasis will be put on good patient management plans for common medical conditions, selection of suitable investigations and appropriate drug therapies.  
 
Course objectives 
By the end of the course students should be able to; 

• Demonstrate skills in managing important diseases affecting children 
• Describe approaches to investigating diseases of children 
• Apply the principles of pharmacotherapy to the management of children health problems
