Learning Outcomes
At the end of this course, a student can:

• Analyze the celestial sphere, coordinate systems and graphics conversion of coordinates.
• Practical use of nautical almanac; calculation of local coordinates from Greenwich, time, sunrise and sunset, twilights, meridian passage(upper/lower), latitude (Polaris, merid, passage).
• Analyze and correct altitude by use of nautical tables. 
• Apply spherical trigonometry to identification of celestial bodies, 
• Demonstrate the elements of drawing a line of position and compass deviation control.
